Wildlife includes a wide range of animals that live in different environments, from forests and oceans to deserts and wetlands. Mammals like elephants and dolphins are warm-blooded and care for their young, while reptiles such as snakes and lizards rely on the sun to regulate their body temperature. Birds are known for their feathers and ability to fly, and fish live in water using gills to breathe. Even insects, like bees and butterflies, play a huge role in pollination and ecosystem balance. Each type of wildlife has its own way of surviving and contributes to the health of the planet.

Mammals are very important because they keep nature in balance and also help humans. In are ecosystems, they help maintain balance by acting as predators, prey, and seed dispersers. For example, elephants spread seeds and create open spaces in forests, which helps plants and other animals grow. Bats eat insects, reducing pests that damage crops. Cows and goats provide humans with milk and meat, while sheep give us wool for clothing. Without mammals, many ecosystems would collapse, and humans would lose valuable resources.

Fun fact

reindeer eyeballs turn blue in winter to help them see at lower light levels. (They're golden colored in summer.)
